This list below is from the Wikipedia page – School Shooting – what I notice is that school shootings are a fairly recent phenomenon (late 1980s/early 1990s onwards) and they do seem to happen mainly in the USA.
OK, so this is not a scientific survey by any means, but doesn’t this list make you stop and think?

- Virginia Tech massacre – April 16, 2007
As Peter Breggin has written recently in an article about the Virgina Tech masssacre; “For the past fifteen years or more, I’ve been writing about the capacity of psychiatric drugs to cause mayhem, murder and suicide. In early 2005 the FDA finally issued a warning that antidepressants cause both suicidality and violence. For example, the FDA’s new mandated warning label for antidepressants states that these drugs produce “anxiety, agitation, panic attacks, insomnia, irritability, hostility, aggressiveness, impulsivity, akathisia (psychomotor restlessness), hypomania, and mania.”
Note the reference to “irritability, hostility, aggressiveness, impulsivity” in the label or package insert for antidepressants. That’s a formula for violence. Note the mention of akathisia, another source of both violence and suicide. And finally, note the reference to mania, yet another drug-induced syndrome associated with violence and suicide.”
Could there be any connection between the increase in the use of psychiatric drugs (thanks to Big Pharma’s marketing efforts) in the last 15 years or so and the huge increase in the occurrence of these extremely violent shooting incidents?

Child and teen suicide rates rose for the first time in more than a decade in 2004 — and many psychological experts said the stronger warning labels that led to a drop in the number of prescriptions for antidepressant drugs may be to blame.
June 2, 2007 at 5:48 pm
The claimed causal linkage is negated by the facts: In October 2004, the American Psychiatric Association published the following:
“In 2003, U.S. physicians wrote 15 million antidepressant prescriptions for patients under age 18, according to FDA data. In the first six months of 2004, antidepressant prescriptions for children INCREASED by almost 8 percent, despite the new drug labeling.”
So, if antidepressant prescriptions for children INCREASED by almost 8% in the first six months of 2004, how could an INCREASED suicide rate the same year be blamed on reduced use of antidepressants?

interesting observation. i’m sure there is a link between increased use of antidepressants and violence. the drug doesn’t cure the orginal source condition, it just suppresses the symptoms. temporarily.

I know this……ED Harris, the kid who masterminded the Columbine massacre, was an anti-depressant user for at least a year, probably more……At the time, one of the most popular pundits on TV was Arianna Huffington….several times after the Columbine incident, I saw Arianna on TV making the case i that the drug Harris used cause “Mania” as a side effect. She also said that several of the other kids int he recent school shootings had used similar drugs….each time she made the point (vehemently) she was ignored in thepanel discussion and the subject was changed (they know which side their bread is buttered on)…….aoon after, Ms Huffingotn disappeared from political-talk TV as if she never existed…..although all of her fellow pundits on the McLoughlin group are still around…….the powers that be love chemicals and are bent on managing the population through poisons…….

Sterling Hall Bombing – April 1971 (???) Four young men drove a Ford Econoline Van filled with ammonium nitrate saturated with fuel oil into an underground parking garage of Sterling Hall, a large building located on the campus of the University of Wisconsin – Madison. Remotely detonated their bomb at 3:45 AM. Then, thought to have fled to Canada. Their logic at the time of arrest seemed to be at that time of the morning, nobody occupied the building. One man, a post-doctorate researcher, married father of twins, who had gone to work early that morning to check on an experiment (unrelated to the Vietnam War) so that his family could leave early on a family vacation, died in the explosion. Two others suffered injuries but survived. Three of the four served time in prison. One man is still at-large.
